Vorrei conoscere la differnza (pratica) tra il 45 mm 2.8 Gn e il 45 mm AIs P con eventuale valutazione. Li ho trovati ambedue usati.

I bought a 45mm F2.8 GN Auto Nikkor NEW from Cambridge Camera via mail order for the Christmas of 1968; for 77 dollars; serial 710217. The list price was about 90 bucks then. I used the thing with a BC7 bulb flash on a Nikon F; and for usage with my old manual strobe; on my Nikkormat FTn; with its higher sync speed. The guide numbers in feet was 32 to 250. The lens was made from the mid/late 1960's; to the mid/late 1970's; all with no AI "forks". Todays users call the 1960's fork a "prong". The 45mm lens was dropped by Nikon when AI came out; but AI conversions were 35 to 39 dollars at Nikon.
The lens was designed for auto flash bulb and strobe usage; in the mid 1960's; when automatic strobes were mostly a dream. I got mine in 1968 for auto flash when using flash bulbs; and somewhat for the bulky strobe with 510 volt battery.
The sales of this lens died in the late 1970's; when few used flashbulbs; and auto strobes were more common. When I bought a Auto Sunpak 611 strobe from Garden Camera in the 1970's; the ancient 45mm was little used anymore.
The old 45mm F2.8 GN was made in several variants in the late 60's thru late 70's; it sold as New old stock at some stores even in the 1980s. The last 45mm F2.8's made in the 1970's still didnt have an AI ring; or vented prong. Many times dealers bought the prongs for a bought 20 dollars; to help dump these old obsolete lenses.
The retro 45mm F2.8 P Nikkor in chrome arrived after Y2K sometime; as a designer lens; with no GN features for flash; but with electical pins for new cameras. They dropped the F32 setting; since it wasnt needed for flash anymore at close distances
The 45mm F2.8 was designed in the flashbulb era; then died when auto strobes became common; it was then reintroduced as a retro designer lens; ie compact lens; with multicoating; and the GN feature dropped to make it less costly; since few require this feature anymore.

Innanzi tutto grazie per le risposte. Se non fossi intervenuto, la mia domanda, caso più unico che raro, sarebbe rimasta inevasa. A me chiedono 300 euro.
Mi fai sapere dove l'hai acquistato : sbutta^^^^toglimi^@alphasoft.it
